Children 7+ are welcome to visit Purrista’s Cat Lounge. For the safety of our cats and little ones, children under 7 are not permitted in the Cat Lounge. Children are welcome to visit the café and watch the cats from the large picture window overlooking the lounge.

For children 7-13, we will require an adult to sign a waiver and be with them at all times in the Cat Lounge.

For those aged 14-17, we will need a waiver signed by an adult, but they can be in the lounge on their own.

No, sorry! Unfortunately, for the safety of our café and cats, your furry friend will need stay home (as much as we’d love to meet them!). If you’re looking to add to your fur family, we’ll talk to you about your cat at home and help you decide which of our adoptable cats could be a good match.

We kindly ask all guests to remove their shoes off before entering the lounge in order to maintain a clean and healthy environment for our café cats as your shoes can pick up a whole host of germs and dirt throughout the day. So, be sure to bring your adorable slippers or socks from home!

Fees for entry into the Cat Lounge help sustain the cost for care as they take up residence at Purrista until they find their forever home. Overall maintenance as well as necessary supplies including litter, food, and toys are directly funded with the help of your visiting fee and any additional donations. You are helping provide a safe space and happy quality of life for these kitties until they find their forever homes and for that, we thank you!

Yes! In addition to having the opportunity to play with adorable cats in a cozy environment, all of the feline friends at Purrista Cat Café are seeking a forever home. Adoption is made available through our partnership with Because You Care, Inc. You can learn more about the adoption process here.

While we do accept walk-ins, reservations are highly recommended for visits to the Cat Lounge in order to guarantee entry as space is limited. You can make a reservation in advance by visiting our scheduling page.

Please note, reservations are never needed when visiting the café. There is seating available with a picture window that overlooks the Cat Lounge so you can watch the fun while enjoying a delicious beverage or snack.

In order to maintain a fun, low-stress place for adoptable cats and cat lovers to meet and socialize, we house 10 cats with 12 visitors permitted at a time.

If your reservation ends up not being the purrfect time, you may cancel your reservation for a refund up to 24 hours before your reservation. If you must cancel within 24-hours of your reservation, contact us at 814-520-8494 and we will help you reschedule for a better time as a refund will not be available.
